What is the actual downside of no-KYC hosting?
Account recovery. Identity verification exists partly so that a provider can re-establish who you are when you lose access. Without it, the email address on the order is the only credential, and losing access to it means losing the account with no appeal. That is a genuine trade, not a technicality, and it is the reason to use an aliasing service you control rather than an address at an employer or an ISP.
Is no-KYC hosting more expensive?
Not inherently, and often less. KYC costs providers money — verification vendors, manual review staff, compliance overhead — and that cost is in the price.
